The R League A Division Football League, a collaborative initiative between the Rajasthan Football Association (RFA) and Poornima University, witnessed a series of thrilling matches in Jaipur on Sunday. The event highlighted exceptional talent and competitive spirit among the participating teams.
Sunrise Football Club's Commanding Victory Over Jerthi FC
In the day's final and most spectacular match, Sunrise Football Club delivered a stunning performance, overwhelming Jerthi Football Club with an emphatic 11-2 win. This one-sided triumph was largely fueled by the outstanding play of Mukesh, who scored an impressive five goals throughout the game.
Mukesh set the tone early, opening the scoring in the very first minute of the match. He continued his dominance by adding four more goals in quick succession during the 17th, 21st, and 31st minutes. Sufian contributed significantly with two goals in the 34th and 36th minutes, helping Sunrise establish a commanding 6-0 lead by halftime.
The second half saw Sunrise maintain their offensive pressure. Ashish found the net in the 52nd minute, followed by Kushagraraj in the 61st minute, Pratik in the 85th minute, Mukesh adding his fifth in the 86th minute, and Bhupendra Singh sealing the victory with a goal in the 90th minute. For Jerthi FC, Devraj scored in the 75th minute and Farhan in the 83rd minute, providing some consolation but not enough to challenge Sunrise's dominance.

Earlier in the day, Jaipur City Football Club showcased their strength with a 4-1 victory over Brother United. Mahipat Singh was the standout performer, scoring three crucial goals to give his team a strong start, while Ashish added one to the tally. Vijay Choudhary managed to score the sole goal for Brother United, but it wasn't enough to turn the tide.
In the second match, Zinc Football Academy demonstrated defensive solidity and attacking prowess by blanking Rihaan Football Club 4-0. Karan led the charge with two goals, supported by Sandeep and Riyaz, who each scored one, ensuring a comprehensive win for their team.
League Structure and Future Matches
According to Dilip Singh Shekhawat, secretary of the Rajasthan Football Association, the R League A Division Football League, which commenced on March 20, is set to feature a total of 42 matches. The competition continues to build momentum, with three additional matches scheduled for April 1, promising more exciting football action for fans and participants alike.
This league not only promotes football at the grassroots level in Rajasthan but also provides a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills and compete in a structured environment, fostering growth and development in the sport across the region.
