Shree Charani Becomes No.1 ICC Women's T20I Bowler

India's young spinner Shree Charani has risen to the number one position in the latest ICC Women's T20I Bowler Rankings, following her outstanding performances in the ongoing ICC Women's T20 World Cup. The 21-year-old left-arm spinner overtook England's Linsey Smith to claim the top spot for the first time in her career.

Charani's Rise to the Top

Charani, who made her international debut just over 12 months ago, has been the leading wicket-taker in the tournament so far, with 10 wickets from three matches. Her recent exploits include a four-wicket haul against the Netherlands in Leeds and three wickets against South Africa in Manchester, which propelled her to the summit of the rankings.

According to the ICC, Charani's consistent performances have been rewarded as she leapfrogs Smith, who drops to third after a relatively slow start to the World Cup. England's Charlie Dean rises to second place with five wickets from three matches.
