Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Ruturaj Gaikwad showered praise on Rajasthan Royals' skipper Sanju Samson, calling him the backbone of the team, and lauded young pacer Kartik Tyagi for his match-winning performance after CSK's victory over Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Gaikwad Hails Sanju's Leadership
Speaking at the post-match presentation, Gaikwad said, "Sanju has been the backbone of Rajasthan Royals. His captaincy and batting have been outstanding this season. He leads from the front and inspires the youngsters." Gaikwad also acknowledged the tough competition posed by DC, saying, "Delhi gave us a tough fight, but our bowlers held their nerve."
Kartik Tyagi's Heroics
Gaikwad reserved special words for the 20-year-old pacer Kartik Tyagi, who defended 10 runs in the final over against DC. "Kartik showed great composure under pressure. He is a young talent with a bright future. His yorkers in the death overs were exceptional," Gaikwad added.
