Marsh Scores Fastest LSG Century in IPL vs RCB

Mitchell Marsh scored his second Indian Premier League century during the Lucknow Super Giants match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Ekana Cricket Stadium on Thursday, May 7, in the 2026 season. He reached the milestone in just 49 balls, making it the fastest century by an LSG batter in IPL history, surpassing Rishabh Pant's 54-ball hundred against the same team at the same venue in 2025.

Record-Breaking Knock

The Australian opener achieved his hundred by slicing an attempted yorker from Romario Shepherd through the off-side for a boundary. He was eventually dismissed by Josh Hazlewood for 111 off 56 balls, having dominated the RCB bowling attack throughout his innings.

Fastest Fifty and Dominance

At the other end, Arshin Kulkarni struggled for timing while Marsh raced to his fifty in just 20 balls, his fastest half-century in the IPL. He also targeted Rasikh Salam and Hazlewood with drives and pull shots. Even yorkers from Hazlewood and Shepherd could not slow him down as he completed his century with a boundary through point off Shepherd.

After reaching the landmark, Marsh removed his helmet and raised his bat to acknowledge the crowd's applause. Stay updated with the latest IPL Live Score, IPL news on Times of India. Follow the IPL Schedule, check the IPL Points Table, and track the race for the IPL Orange Cap and IPL Purple Cap.
