AKFI and Mashal Sports Unveil Elite Strength and Conditioning Camp for Asian Games Preparation
In a strategic move to bolster India's kabaddi prowess, the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) has partnered with Mashal Sports to launch a high-performance Strength & Conditioning Camp. This elite training initiative is set to take place at the Inspire Institute of Sport (IIS) in Bellary, Karnataka, from March 27 to April 2, 2026. The camp aims to assemble the nation's top men's and women's kabaddi probable athletes, focusing on rigorous preparation for the upcoming Asian Games 2026.
Strengthening India's Kabaddi Ecosystem
This collaborative effort marks a significant advancement in enhancing India's kabaddi ecosystem. With a dedicated focus on athlete development, fitness optimization, and long-term performance excellence, the camp underscores a shared commitment between AKFI and Mashal Sports. Vibhor Vineet Jain, President of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India, emphasized the importance of this step in elevating kabaddi standards in India. "By collaborating with Mashal Sports, we are ensuring that our players benefit from modern training methodologies, scientific support systems, and a professional high-performance environment essential for international success," he stated.
Anupam Goswami, Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) League Commissioner and Business Head of Mashal Sports, highlighted the broader impact of the camp. "In the year of the Asian Games, we take pride in organizing this camp for senior men's and women's probables. With 45 athletes in each group, the benefits will extend beyond the final squads, enhancing athletic capacity for both PKL and Team India representation," he added.

The camp will be hosted at the Inspire Institute of Sport in Bellary, a world-class facility renowned for its cutting-edge infrastructure and multidisciplinary sports science ecosystem.
