Punjab Kings (PBKS) assistant bowling coach Trevor Gonsalves has thrown his weight behind the team's brand of fearless cricket as they prepare to face Gujarat Titans (GT) in their upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) encounter. Gonsalves emphasized the importance of maintaining an aggressive mindset while also focusing on consistency to achieve better results.

Speaking to the media ahead of the match, Gonsalves highlighted that the team management has encouraged players to express themselves freely without fear of failure. This approach, he believes, brings out the best in the squad. “We want our players to play with freedom and aggression. That is the brand of cricket we want to associate with,” he stated.
Consistency is Key
While backing the aggressive style, Gonsalves acknowledged that consistency remains a work in progress. He noted that the team has shown flashes of brilliance but needs to string together more consistent performances. “We are aware that we haven't been consistent enough. But we are working on it. The boys are putting in the effort, and we are confident that the results will follow,” he added.
The assistant coach also praised the bowling unit for their efforts in recent matches, singling out the contributions of both pacers and spinners. He expressed confidence that the bowlers would execute their plans effectively against a strong Gujarat Titans batting lineup.

Gonsalves stressed the importance of team unity and collective responsibility. He said that the support staff is working closely with the players to ensure they are mentally and physically prepared for the challenges ahead. “We have a great bunch of players who support each other.
