The ride promotes cycling as a sustainable fitness activity. Later, he will visit G.V. Raja Sports School in Mylom, a prestigious institution that has produced many Indian athletes, underscoring the government's focus on grassroots sports development.
Asian Games 2026 Fun Run on International Olympic Day
The highlight of the visit is the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Fun Run at Kerala University Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram, coinciding with International Olympic Day celebrations. The event is expected to draw over 40,000 participants, including students, athletes, youth volunteers, and the public. It showcases Kerala's sporting culture and strengthens public engagement with the Asian Games movement.
Previous Yoga Day Participation
On Sunday, June 21, Mandaviya joined a mass yoga session at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi for the 12th International Yoga Day, themed 'Yoga for Healthy Ageing'. Over 3,000 participants attended, with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar also performing yoga. Mandaviya urged citizens to adopt yoga daily, calling it India's gift to the world.
