MNIT Jaipur Alumni Premier League Concludes with Thrilling Finale
The Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur (MNIT) Alumni Premier League wrapped up with a spectacular final match at the Mansarovar Cricket Academy recently. The tournament, which began on May 15, featured five teams competing in intense and sportsmanlike contests.
Final Match Highlights
In the final played on May 17, Brutal Sharks delivered a dominant performance to defeat Alpha Royals and claim the championship. Alpha Royals, batting first, were bowled out for a mere 68 runs. In response, Brutal Sharks chased down the target with ease, scoring 69 runs in just 9.1 overs to win the trophy.
Star Performer of the Tournament
Ritesh Maheshwari was named the Man of the Series for his exceptional all-round contributions throughout the league. His consistent performances with both bat and ball were instrumental in his team's success. Brutal Sharks' captain Amit Goyal played a captain's knock and received the trophy after the resounding victory.
Chief Guest and Organisers
Dr Jagdish Chandra, CMD of First India News, graced the closing ceremony as the chief guest. He interacted with players from both the winning and runner-up teams, offering encouragement and praising the unique initiative of the MNIT alumni. Advocate Lalit Sharma was also present at the event. League organiser Ankush Chaudhary and alumnus Ankur Sharma expressed their gratitude to all participants and attendees for making the event a grand success.
