Mirabai Chanu Clinches Third Consecutive CWG Gold
Indian weightlifting star Mirabai Chanu added another historic achievement to her illustrious career by claiming the gold medal in the women's 48kg category at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Rishikanta Singh Wins Silver Despite Injury
Alongside Chanu's gold, Indian weightlifting also celebrated a silver medal from Rishikanta Singh Chanambam in the men's event. Competing with a troublesome knee, the 28-year-old became the first male weightlifter from Manipur to win a Commonwealth Games medal.

Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya lauded Chanu's remarkable consistency, calling her hat-trick of gold medals a testament to her dedication. "A hat-trick of GOLD medals!
