Jaipur: Rajasthan's promising teenagers Kushagra Ojha and Rajat Baghel have earned selection in India's Under-19 squad for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka, which commences on July 4. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) junior cricket committee announced the India men's U-19 squads for the tour, which includes three one-day matches and two multi-day games.

Squad Leadership and Composition

Yashbardhan Singh Chauhan will captain both the one-day and multi-day teams, with Lakshya Raichandani serving as his deputy in both formats. The squads feature a mix of talented young cricketers from across the country.

Kushagra Ojha, a middle-order batter, and Rajat Baghel, a wicketkeeper-batter, have been recognized for their outstanding performances in the junior national circuit last season. Both players have consistently excelled for Rajasthan, showcasing their skills and potential.

The Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) Ad Hoc Committee convenor Dr. Mohit Jaswant Yadav, along with members Ashish Tiwari, Dhananjai Singh Khimsar, Sushil Jain, and Arisht Singhvi, congratulated the young cricketers on their selection. They expressed confidence that Kushagra and Rajat would follow in the footsteps of Manav Suthar, another Rajasthan cricketer who recently earned accolades by performing brilliantly in a Test match against Afghanistan after being selected for the Indian Test side.
