University of Rajasthan Enters All India Handball Final

The University of Rajasthan continued its impressive run by storming into the final of the All India Inter-University Handball Men tournament at the University Sports Complex here on Friday. The five-day tournament is being organized by the University of Rajasthan Sports Board, featuring sixteen top teams from across the country.

Semi-Final Highlights

In a high-scoring semi-final encounter, the University of Rajasthan defeated LPU 33-24 to secure a berth in the final. Mohit and Sumeet scored six goals each, while Rohit, Devendra, and Dinesh contributed five goals each for the victorious team.

In the second semi-final, UEM Chomu Jaipur outclassed Saurashtra University, Rajkot with a score of 48-38. The summit clash between the two Rajasthan teams will take place on Saturday at 7 am, followed by the prize distribution ceremony.

Quarter-Final Results

Earlier, in an exciting quarter-final, the host University of Rajasthan overcame a spirited challenge from GNDU, winning 14-7 to advance to the last four. Sumeet and Dinesh were the chief architects of this victory.

The hard-line match for third place will be played between LPU Phagwara, Punjab and Saurashtra University, Rajkot. Organizing secretary Dr. Pratibha Singh Ratnu, secretary of the sports board Kuldeep Dhankar, chairman of the university sports board, tournament technical director Subrat Saini, AIU observer Harish B Raba, S.L. Pareek, and Pramod Singh will be present during the concluding function.
