As always, the release schedule is famously relentless. New episodes will drop nearly every day of the week at the same time, with events filmed so close to real-time that there is only a one- to two-day delay between what happens in Fiji and what hits screens. During the first full week of streaming, episodes will air every single day. From June 9 onwards, episodes will arrive every day except Wednesdays. On Saturdays, the series will air Love Island Aftersun, a companion show featuring unseen footage and interviews with eliminated Islanders.
As for the finale, Love Island USA typically does not confirm the end date until midway through the run. Given that both seasons 6 and 7 ran for 36 episodes each, season 8 is expected to wrap up around July 12.
Who Is Hosting Love Island USA Season 8?
Vanderpump Rules alum Ariana Madix returns as host for her third consecutive year, joined once again by comedian Iain Stirling and his much-loved narration. Speaking with Marie Claire ahead of the new season, Madix was candid about how little she herself knows at this stage.
"This happens in such real-time with Love Island, I don't even think they know a lot of stuff to be able to tell me," she said. "I'm excited we're going to be back in Fiji, and I think we're going to be in the same villa. I'm really excited to learn who the cast is going to be, but I'm probably going to be finding out about that a day before the world does. I'm living it along with you guys."
When Will the Love Island USA Season 8 Cast Be Revealed?
Unfortunately for impatient fans, the show is notorious for keeping its cast tightly under wraps until just days before the premiere. Season 7's cast was not revealed until May 29, just five days before the season began. Barring any major changes, the season 8 cast is expected to be announced very close to the June 2 premiere date.
First Teaser and Rumored Islander
The show's official Instagram posted the first teaser for season 8 on May 6, featuring Madix as a weather forecaster warning of a major Love Island heatwave headed our way. The clip ends with Madix promising the show's "hottest summer yet," before the camera cuts to a handsome, swimsuit-clad man wearing headphones and holding a clipboard.
The unnamed man has since identified himself in the comments on the Instagram post. According to his own page, he is Seth Wilmoth, a fitness influencer who recently ran 13 marathons across 13 different ecoregions in California. It has not been confirmed whether he is an actual cast member, though sharp-eyed fans have noted that last year's promotional material featured only Madix and hired actors. If Wilmoth does turn out to be a genuine Islander reveal, it would suggest that season 8 is already gearing up to do things a little differently.
