Mirra Andreeva has etched her name in tennis history by winning the French Open at just 19 years old, becoming the youngest champion at Roland Garros since Monica Seles in 1992. The Russian teenager defeated Poland's Maja Chwalinska 6-3, 6-1 in the final on Sunday to claim her first Grand Slam title.

At 19 years and 27 days, Andreeva is the youngest French Open women's singles champion since Monica Seles, who was 18 when she won in 1992. She also becomes the first teenager to win a Grand Slam since Bianca Andreescu at the 2019 US Open.
