4-Day ATL Workshop to Boost Innovation in Sirsa Schools

A four-day Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) workshop aimed at fostering innovation and technical learning commenced in schools across Sirsa district. The initiative, organized by the district education department in collaboration with the NITI Aayog, seeks to equip students with practical skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Workshop Objectives

The primary goal of the workshop is to encourage students to think creatively and develop problem-solving abilities through hands-on experimentation. Participants will engage in activities such as robotics, coding, 3D printing, and electronics, guided by trained mentors from various technical institutions.

Key Features

  • Hands-on Sessions: Students will work with ATL kits to build prototypes and solve real-world challenges.
  • Expert Guidance: Sessions will be led by engineers and educators from IITs and other premier institutes.
  • Competitions: Inter-school competitions will be held to showcase student innovations.

Impact on Students

The workshop is expected to benefit over 500 students from 20 schools in Sirsa. Teachers have expressed optimism about the program's potential to spark interest in STEM careers. "This workshop provides a platform for students to move beyond textbook learning and apply concepts in a practical setting," said a district education officer.
