ANTF Arrests Three in Ferozepur Drug Bust

The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) has arrested three alleged drug smugglers in separate operations in Ferozepur, recovering a significant quantity of narcotics. The seized items include 6.155 kg of heroin, 2.795 kg of opium, and 485 g of intoxicating powder, along with other substances.

Details of the Operations

According to AIG ANTF Gurinderbir Singh, the first operation led to the arrest of Davinder Singh alias Ekam, a resident of Dharamkot. He was found in possession of 3.55 kg of heroin. In the second case, ANTF personnel apprehended Ranjeet Singh alias Rana from Machhiwara, recovering 3.1 kg of heroin from his custody.

The third operation targeted another Ranjeet Singh alias Rana, a resident of Amritsar, from whom authorities seized 2.795 kg of opium, 485 g of white intoxicating powder, and 1.35 kg of intoxicating black liquid.

Legal Action

All three accused have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the ANTF police station in SAS Nagar. The authorities have initiated further investigations to uncover the broader network involved in drug trafficking.

The ANTF continues to intensify its crackdown on drug smuggling in the region, aiming to curb the illegal trade and protect communities from the scourge of narcotics.
