Lucknow: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) has officially announced the commencement of admissions to its Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programs for the academic session 2026-27. The registration process will begin on June 17, 2026.
Admission Criteria
As per the official notification, admissions to the BTech programs will be based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main scores. Candidates are required to register online and lock their course preferences on the university's official portal between June 17 and July 8, as confirmed by university spokesperson Rachna Gangwar.
Seat Distribution
The university has allocated a total of 150 seats to be filled through JEE Main across five engineering disciplines. Each discipline—civil engineering, computer science and engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, and mechanical and automobile engineering—will have 30 seats.
Vacant Seats and CUET
Officials clarified that any seats remaining vacant after the JEE Main-based admission process will be filled through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) merit list, adhering to the government's reservation norms.
Additionally, the remaining 50 percent of the total seats will also be filled via CUET. A separate notification regarding this will be released at a later date.
