The core feature of this integration allows both riders and drivers to seek emergency assistance without leaving the Ola or Uber app. With a few taps, users can now share vital information directly with the police's 112 emergency response system.
The data shared includes real-time GPS location, ongoing trip details, and user contact information. This seamless flow of critical data is designed to eliminate communication delays and provide first responders with accurate situational awareness the moment an emergency call is placed.

Bengaluru City Police Commissioner, Seemant Kumar Singh, emphasized that this technological upgrade will facilitate much quicker police action than traditional emergency reporting methods.
