A tense situation unfolded on Saturday when an APSRTC bus traveling from Jaggayyapeta to Vijayawada suddenly filled with thick smoke, causing panic among passengers. The incident occurred in the NTR district, but thanks to the driver's swift response, all passengers escaped without serious injuries.
Incident Details
The bus was en route to Vijayawada when a short circuit developed in the engine compartment. Within minutes, dense smoke began billowing from the front of the vehicle and quickly spread inside the bus, alarming passengers and creating a chaotic scene.
Realizing the danger, the driver acted immediately, steering the bus to the roadside and bringing it to a halt. His timely action prevented the situation from escalating into a potential fire-related tragedy.
Passenger Evacuation
