The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has activated the Integrated Payment System (IPS) to process final payments to examination centres and functionaries for the 2026 board examinations. The system is now live, enabling schools to freeze data on the dedicated portal, IPS Centre Final 2026. Revised rates for remuneration, conveyance, refreshments, and related expenses have been incorporated for implementation from the 2026 examinations onwards.
Circular and Timeline
According to a circular issued on April 21, 2026, by Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, schools affiliated to CBSE have been directed to complete data entry and ensure freezing of records within the stipulated timelines. The IPS portal has been developed to facilitate immediate processing of payments after completion of examination-related activities and declaration of Class X results.
Integrated Payment System for Exam Centres
Under the IPS Centre Final 2026 module, the Board has integrated revised rates applicable for remuneration, conveyance, and refreshments for examination centres and associated functionaries. The system has been designed to ensure timely consolidation of financial records and facilitate prompt release of payments. Schools are required to verify all details before final submission on the portal. The Integrated Payment System is being activated immediately after the declaration of Class X results, enabling examination centres to proceed with mandatory data freezing and verification processes without delay.
Schools Must Comply Strictly
Schools have been instructed to ensure accuracy of bank account details while completing data entry on the IPS portal. Principals are required to personally review all data before freezing to avoid any discrepancy or inconvenience at a later stage. The submission and freezing of data is scheduled from April 22, 2026 to May 6, 2026 as per the official timeline. Refreezing provisions will be available between May 8, 2026 and May 15, 2026 in case of failed payment processing. Strict adherence to the schedule is mandatory.
