Investigation and Suspected Cause

The boy's father informed the police that he had no knowledge of where the battery came from and suspected that the children might have picked it up while playing. Officials suspect that the battery may have exploded after its terminals were accidentally short-circuited while being handled by the children.

This incident highlights the dangers of discarded electronic waste, particularly batteries, which can pose serious risks if not disposed of properly. Authorities urge parents to educate children about the hazards of handling such items and to ensure safe disposal of electronic waste.
