The Campus of Open Learning (COL), University of Delhi, has announced the commencement of admissions for its one-year certificate and diploma courses in eight foreign languages, along with several professional programmes offered through the Department of Distance and Continuing Education (DDCE), School of Open Learning (SOL).
Foreign Language Programmes
COL Director Prof. Payal Mago stated that the foreign language programmes are available in German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. These courses are offered in collaboration with the Department of Germanic and Romance Studies and the Department of East Asian Studies at the University of Delhi.
She added that the Open Learning Development Centre (OLDC) will soon introduce these programmes in online mode to make language education accessible to learners across the country. This will enable students from various regions to enrol and attend the courses remotely.
New Russian Language Courses
The university is also expanding its language offerings with the launch of one-year certificate and diploma courses in Russian. These programmes are being introduced in collaboration with the Department of Slavonic and Finno-Ugrian Studies, University of Delhi, and will be available in both classroom and online modes.
Professional Programmes
Alongside the language courses, admissions for flagship programmes under DDCE, SOL, COL will begin on June 17, 2026. These programmes include Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Library and Information Science (MLISc), Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLISc), and Post Graduate Diploma in Advertising and Digital Media Leadership (PGDADLM).
According to the university, these courses aim to provide quality higher education, professional development, and career growth opportunities through flexible learning options designed for both students and working professionals.

The applications began on June 11 and the last date to apply is July 10, 12 am.
