The release date for Grand Theft Auto VI remains set for November 19, and two gaming industry insiders are confident that the launch timeline will not change, even as anticipation for the title continues to build.
Since the last official confirmation in February, there has been no new announcement from Rockstar Games or its parent company Take-Two Interactive. However, two industry insiders have recently stated that development is moving forward without major hurdles. This update comes amid widespread speculation about potential delays, trailer releases, and pre-order dates.
Earlier this year, Take-Two Interactive reiterated that the game was on schedule, with marketing expected to begin in the coming days and physical editions planned for launch.
Insiders Express Growing Confidence
Speaking on the GTA VI O’Clock podcast, co-host James Jarvis indicated increasing certainty about the release timeline. “I'm pretty confident in the things we've been hearing that there's no delay incoming,” he said. “I think the other week we put percentages on it and I put 83 or something but I'd be now 96 per cent confident in the 19 November release date,” Jarvis added.
Dan Dawkins, founder of GTA VI O’Clock, echoed a similar view, citing broader industry signals. “We are part of an industry that's interconnected, we do have jobs in the industry and you do hear things on the wind, I can't say too much more, but I feel like my levels of confidence have grown,” he noted.
No Official Confirmation Yet
Despite these statements, there has been no new official confirmation from Rockstar Games or Take-Two since the company’s last earnings update in February, when it said the game remained on track at that time.
The insiders also discussed the possible timing of a third trailer, suggesting it could arrive ahead of Take-Two’s next earnings call, expected sometime in May, though no specific date has been announced yet.
