Gujarat Engineering Students to Get Global Tech Training

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Knowledge Society (GKS) has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bentley Systems India Pvt Ltd, an American technology company, to equip engineering students in the state with global digital engineering skills and improve their job prospects.

Faculty Development Programme for 300+ Teachers

As part of the partnership, a specialised Faculty Development Programme (FDP) will be conducted by Bentley's global experts for over 300 faculty members from civil engineering departments across all 16 government engineering colleges and 31 government polytechnic colleges in Gujarat. This initiative is expected to directly benefit approximately 14,800 students pursuing civil engineering and related disciplines, according to an official statement.

Hands-On Training with Advanced Tools

During the training, students will gain practical experience with advanced digital engineering tools, including MicroStation, OpenRoads, OpenFlows, Synchro, and Digital Twin. The programme will also incorporate project-based learning, hackathons, and design competitions to strengthen their technical and practical capabilities.

Free Access to 65+ Software Tools

Under the MoU, students and faculty will receive free access to more than 65 industry-standard Bentley software tools, aiming to elevate technical education in the state to global standards. Additionally, the Bentley Learn Platform will allow students to learn at their own pace, whether from home or on campus.
