Data Breach Rumors Dismissed
Over the weekend, social media was abuzz with rumors about an alleged data breach involving ICAI. Claims suggested that a hacker identified as 'zowico' had accessed the ICAI examiners' portal and leaked May 2026 answer sheets and marks of over 2 lakh candidates. However, several chartered accountants, including Rohit Ruwatia Agarwal and Akhil Pachori, dismissed these claims. They stated that there was no evidence of any compromise of examination data, and the portal in question is used only for uploading Excel sheets, not answer books. Reports also indicated that the data allegedly shared on indianbreaches.com contained old member information such as names and email addresses, unrelated to examination records. ICAI has not issued an official statement on the matter.
CA Final May 2026 Results
Meanwhile, ICAI has confirmed that the CA Final May 2026 results will be declared on June 18. The examinations for the final level were conducted from May 2 to May 12. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates.
