LTM has announced the launch of AI 1000, a major workforce transformation initiative anchored by a new Center of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. The program aims to develop a pool of more than 1,000 AI-certified engineers, including Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs), to help enterprises adopt, deploy, and scale AI solutions.
Forward Deployed Engineers: A Growing Role
The FDE role is among the fastest-growing in the AI ecosystem, combining technical expertise in large language models (LLMs) and domain-specific models (SLMs) with business acumen to deliver measurable ROI. LTM’s AI 1000 program is designed to build this talent at scale, providing structured training, platforms, and career frameworks to accelerate enterprise AI adoption.
Four-Stage Talent Model
AI 1000 follows a four-stage model: Identify, Enable, Deploy, and Govern.
- Identification begins with a proprietary AI Readiness Index to spot high-potential engineers.
- Curated learning journeys focus on AI-native skills, validated through hackathons and real-world use cases.
- Qualified engineers are deployed into AI programs.
- A governance framework tracks performance, captures insights, and feeds learnings back into the system, creating a continuous cycle of capability building.
