Ludhiana Man's Phone Snatched by Motorcycle Gang on Camera

A local hosiery manufacturer in Ludhiana has become the latest victim of the city's brazen 'snatch-and-run' motorcycle gangs, with the theft of his smartphone caught on high-definition security footage.

Pankaj Kumar, 47, was standing outside his New Shivpuri factory on Friday, attempting to place a call, when two men on a motorcycle swerved toward him, grabbed the device from his hand, and sped away. The Civil Lines resident provided police with CCTV footage from his facility that captured both the assault and the motorcycle's registration number.

Assistant sub-inspector Sukhwinder Singh of the Daresi police station confirmed that the accused were captured on camera, and authorities are tracing the vehicle's ownership details. Despite the digital evidence, investigators said they were yet to find a major clue regarding the suspects' identities.
