Mednova 2026: Mystery Event 'The Midnight Mystery' Engages Students

Bareilly: An interactive mystery-solving event titled “The Midnight Mystery” emerged as one of the highlights of Mednova 2026, the annual undergraduate academic conference of Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial (LLRM) Medical College held in collaboration with IMA MSN (Indian Medical Association – Medical Students’ Network) UP. The conference featured eight workshops, five academic events and three literary events under the guidance of principal Dr RC Gupta and vice-principal Dr Gyaneshwar Tonk.

Event Highlights

Dr Neha Singh, president of the Clinical Society LLRM, said the event combined mystery, medicine and critical thinking, requiring participating teams to analyze evidence and case files to crack a complex criminal case. Literary student head Satyam Rai said the plot centered on a psychopath’s mindset and a series of poisoning incidents, depicted through props, visuals and clues. Teams cleared medical riddles and puzzles at multiple stages to uncover evidence.

Forensic and Psychiatric Learning

Founder secretary Dr Megha Chattopadhyay said the event aimed to introduce students to forensic medicine and psychiatry through hands-on learning, with the investigation eventually leading teams to uncover an illegal organ trafficking network. Dr. Rahul Singh, LLRM’s spokesperson, said, “It was a successful combination of storytelling, teamwork, and medical learning in a thrilling investigative adventure.”
