The Muslim Students Federation (MSF), the student wing of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), has raised serious concerns over the credibility of the NEET-UG examination. According to MSF national president P V Ahamed Saju, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has shown serious negligence and major lapses in the conduct of the exam, which has questioned the integrity of the entire process.
Demand for Transparent Investigation
Speaking in Kozhikode, Saju emphasized that a thorough and transparent investigation is imperative to restore trust in the examination system. He stated, "Those responsible for the irregularities must be identified and subjected to strict legal action." The MSF leader urged the authorities to leave no stone unturned in uncovering the truth behind the lapses.
Comprehensive Reforms Needed
Saju further highlighted the need for comprehensive reforms to permanently prevent question paper leaks and related irregularities. He proposed that the government should consider transitioning NEET-UG to a computer-based (online) format in a phased manner. This would involve strengthening technical security standards, similar to those adopted in NEET-PG. Alternatively, he suggested introducing an aptitude test to shortlist the top 10% of candidates, followed by a highly secure offline examination with enhanced safeguards.

The NEET-UG examination has faced multiple controversies in recent years, including allegations of paper leaks and administrative mismanagement. The MSF's call for action adds to the growing chorus of voices demanding accountability and reform. The organization believes that without systemic changes, the credibility of medical entrance exams will remain under threat.
