Mumbai: Admissions to degree colleges affiliated to Mumbai University will commence from Wednesday, May 6. The first merit list for seat allotment is scheduled for May 26, and colleges can begin their academic session for undergraduate courses from June 13, according to the schedule released by the university.
Admission Schedule Details
Two days after the HSC results were announced, the university issued a detailed schedule for this year's admissions on Monday. Aspirants have already started filling in the first part of the pre-enrolment registration forms online on the university's portal. The second phase, where students can fill in their scores and choice of colleges and also start applying to colleges individually, will commence from May 6. Colleges can also start selling their admission forms from May 6, as stated in the university's release.
Key Dates and Procedures
Students must complete the pre-enrolment registration and apply separately to colleges by May 21, up to 1 pm, said officials. The pre-enrolment registration will remain open to students until May 21. While CBSE Class 12 results are still awaited, officials claim that students will have sufficient time to complete the process.
Colleges can complete minority and in-house quota admissions from May 6 to May 21. The first merit list will be released on May 26 at 11 am, following which the second round of admissions will commence.
