Patna: Nalanda Open University (NOU) on Monday unveiled its newly developed ‘Employability App’, designed to benefit thousands of its students enrolled in various academic programmes. The launch event took place at the university campus.
Vice-Chancellor’s Vision
Launching the App, NOU’s Vice-Chancellor Ravindra Kumar emphasized that in today’s competitive era, the university’s goal extends beyond merely awarding degrees. He stated that the institution is committed to equipping students with job-oriented skills. The new App will link students with education as well as employability, he said. The VC further explained that the App will assist students in finding jobs, managing schedules, and locating work opportunities. It will connect them with jobs and career-enhancing courses, and provide guides for freelancing, part-time remote work, and internships. Additionally, the App will focus on industry-relevant skills, resume-building, and career counselling.
Registrar’s Perspective
NOU Registrar Abhay Kumar Singh remarked that the App will significantly aid students in preparing for competitive examinations and finding suitable jobs aligned with their skills and knowledge.

The launch marks a significant step in integrating technology with higher education to enhance employability among students in Bihar.
