Nasuni Expands Hyderabad R&D Center to Accelerate Enterprise File Data Platform Innovation

Nasuni, a US-based infrastructure software provider, has significantly expanded its Hyderabad research and development global capability centre. This strategic move aims to accelerate innovation in its enterprise file data platform, with a focus on helping organizations modernize file infrastructure for teams and AI-driven workflows.

Enhanced Global Collaboration and Focus Areas

The expanded Hyderabad facility will work in close coordination with teams in the United States and Ireland to contribute to key areas of platform evolution. This includes file data indexing, AI integration, and resilient infrastructure design. The Hyderabad teams will concentrate on several critical domains to drive technological advancements.

  • Semantic Indexing and Contextual Modeling: Enhancing data organization and retrieval capabilities.
  • Version Lineage and Metadata Intelligence: Improving tracking and management of file versions and metadata.
  • Predictive Analytics and AI-Driven Operations: Leveraging AI for proactive insights and automated processes.
  • Zero Trust-Aligned Access Enforcement: Strengthening security through strict access controls.
  • Cyber Resilience: Including advanced ransomware detection to protect against threats.

Rapid Growth and Global Talent Integration

Nasuni started its Hyderabad operations with just two people in August 2025. According to CEO Sam King, the company now plans to grow the centre to approximately 125 employees by the end of this year. This expansion reflects Nasuni's commitment to leveraging global talent for innovation.

Currently, Nasuni has a global headcount of around 600 employees. Of these, about 40 are based in India at Hyderabad, and 30 are located in Ireland, where the company maintains another global capability centre. This distribution supports a collaborative approach to development and innovation.

Strategic Importance of Hyderabad's Tech Ecosystem

Peddareddappa G, Senior Director and India Site Leader at Nasuni, highlighted the significance of Hyderabad's technology talent pool. "Hyderabad gives us access to one of the strongest and deepest technology talent ecosystems globally," he said. "Our teams here are deeply integrated into Core Platform development. The collaboration across the US, Ireland, and India allows us to innovate continuously and respond quickly to evolving enterprise requirements."

Platform Capabilities and Customer Base

Nasuni's platform combines cloud object storage with enterprise file services to provide immutable file system versions. This enables rapid recovery and historical context for organizations. The company supports more than 800 enterprise customers across over 70 countries, managing billions of files across thousands of locations. This extensive reach underscores the platform's reliability and scalability in modern file infrastructure management.
