Nagpur University (NU) has closed the online examination application link following the declaration of the Summer 2026 exam timetable, even as many students continue to face delays in receiving hall tickets. However, students who have yet to submit their forms can still apply through their respective colleges under prescribed rules, subject to late fees.
Exam Schedule and Hall Ticket Issues
Major examinations began on May 11, and numerous students discovered that their hall tickets were not generated even a day before their exams. As the days progressed, more cases surfaced across different courses, leaving students in distress. According to a circular issued by the university, students whose examinations are scheduled to begin within eight days and who have not yet filled out examination forms can approach their colleges. The colleges have been directed to send recommendation letters to the Director of the Board of Examinations and Evaluation, after which the examination form link will be reopened upon payment of the prescribed late fee.
College Negligence Blamed
Exam section officials revealed that many colleges did not submit examination forms and fees, even though students had completed the formalities at their end months ago. The form-filling process started in February-March, and the university continued to accept forms until April 30. "Students say they were not aware if their colleges submitted their forms or not. Some students are coming from other districts like Wardha and Bhandara to enquire about their hall tickets. Many have their exams in a day or two, but their forms have not been sent by colleges," a senior official said. "How can colleges fail to send forms of regular students? It is shocking," another official added.
This situation has caused significant anxiety among students, especially those who have traveled from distant areas. The university has urged colleges to ensure timely submission of forms to avoid such disruptions in the future.
