Jaipur: Chief Secretary V Srinivas has directed officials to implement the best practices observed in top-performing PM-SHRI schools across other educational institutions. During a review meeting at the education department on Wednesday, Srinivas issued directives to maintain continuous monitoring and ranking of PM-SHRI schools while expediting all pending tasks.
Webinars to Share Best Practices
He proposed organizing webinars for school principals to disseminate successful strategies adopted by top-ranking schools. This initiative aims to ensure that all schools benefit from proven approaches, thereby enhancing overall educational quality.
Enhancements in ICT and Science Labs
The chief secretary instructed officials to upgrade information and communication technology (ICT) and science laboratories within PM-SHRI schools. Additionally, he directed the establishment of science clubs in these schools to foster scientific curiosity among students.
Speaking to the media, Srinivas stated, “During the 5th National Conference of Chief Secretaries, while representing Rajasthan, 30 areas were assigned to the state from the central government that need improvement. These areas include filling vacant posts in PM-SHRI schools, developing ICT and science labs, and improving learning outcomes. They have been incorporated into the Programme Implementation Plan for 2026-27.”
Focus on Learning Outcomes and Mental Health
He emphasized the importance of improving learning outcomes and addressing mental health aspects of students in government schools. This holistic approach aims to support students’ academic and emotional well-being.
Inspection of Vidya Samiksha Kendra
Srinivas inspected the Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) located within the Shiksha Sankul complex to gain deeper insights into data analytics related to PM-SHRI schools. This visit underscores the commitment to data-driven decision-making in education.
