In a unique initiative to encourage first-time voters, robots welcomed them at a polling booth in Erapatty, Dharmapuri district, on Thursday. The robots distributed roses and certificates of appreciation to the young voters, making their first voting experience memorable.
Robots Assist with Voting Guidance
Besides greeting voters, the robots also helped clarify doubts regarding required documents and voting guidelines. This technological intervention aimed to reduce confusion and streamline the voting process for first-timers.
Green and Pink Booths
The Erapatty polling station featured special green and pink booths. The green booths promoted environmental awareness; voters at these booths were given seed balls and saplings as a token of appreciation. Meanwhile, the pink booths were entirely managed by women, highlighting gender inclusivity in election duties.
