Kanaka Durga Temple to Integrate Services Under Single QR Code Platform
Temple to Streamline Services with Single QR Code

The Kanaka Durga Temple in Vijayawada is set to revolutionize devotee services by consolidating multiple QR codes into a single, unified platform. This initiative aims to streamline access to darshan bookings, sevas, annaprasadam, and hundi donations through a single digital gateway.

Current QR Code System

According to temple executive officer V K Seena Naik, approximately 60 QR codes are currently deployed for various services at the temple. The administration is now working to integrate these under one official QR code to simplify transactions and bookings for devotees.

How the New System Works

Under the proposed system, devotees can scan the unified QR code, enter their mobile number, and make payments for various services. Tickets generated through the platform will be sent directly to their registered mobile numbers. Additionally, the temple has arranged kiosks and e-pass machines for those who wish to print their tickets.

Integration with WhatsApp Service

The QR code will also be linked to the temple's 'Mana Mitra' WhatsApp service, enabling devotees to access information and services via their mobile phones. QR codes will be displayed at public locations such as bus stations, railway stations, and other prominent places, allowing devotees to avail temple services even before reaching the shrine.

Offline Counter Retained

Officials confirmed that the temple will continue to maintain an offline payment counter for devotees unfamiliar with QR code-based transactions, while gradually expanding digital service delivery.
