Noida witnessed three separate fire incidents on Wednesday, with no injuries reported in any of them. The fires broke out in a furniture warehouse in Badalpur, two cars near Central Park in Sector 55, and a flat at a high-rise in Sector 75.
Warehouse Fire in Badalpur
The first and most severe incident occurred around 1 am at the warehouse of rental company RentoMojo in Badalpur. Fire tenders from Ecotech-3, Dadri, and Gaur City stations were dispatched to the site. The blaze had spread significantly by the time first responders arrived, prompting authorities to call in additional units from across the district. A total of 16 fire tenders were deployed before the fire was contained, preventing it from spreading to nearby warehouses. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Car Fire in Sector 55
The second incident also occurred around 1 am near Central Park in C Block of Sector 55. Sparks from an electric pole fell on a parked car during a dust storm, igniting the vehicle. The flames quickly spread to an adjacent car. Residents alerted the police and fire department, and a fire tender brought the blaze under control within approximately 30 minutes. Both cars were gutted.
Flat Fire in Sector 75
Later in the day, a fire broke out in a flat at The Jewel of Noida society in Sector 75. Fire officials received information at around 7:40 pm. The fire originated in the outdoor unit of an air conditioner installed on the balcony of a 20th-floor flat. Residents and society maintenance staff managed to extinguish the fire using the building's in-house firefighting system before the fire department arrived. No injuries were reported.
Authorities are investigating the causes of the fires and assessing the damage. Further details are awaited.
