The Tamil Nadu School Education Department is set to announce the TN HSC Result 2026 on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 9:30 AM. More than eight lakh students who appeared for the Class 12 public examinations will be able to access their marks through multiple platforms, including DigiLocker, SMS, WhatsApp, and official websites.
Multiple Result Access Facilities
The department has introduced several result access facilities to help students avoid delays caused by heavy traffic on websites immediately after the announcement. Candidates will need their registration number and date of birth to download their scorecards online.
Steps to Check Tamil Nadu Board Result 2026 through DigiLocker
Students can use DigiLocker to access and download their digital marksheets after the declaration of results. The platform allows candidates to store and access academic documents online.
- Step 1: Visit results.digilocker.gov.in on a mobile phone or computer.
- Step 2: Log in using the registered mobile number. New users can create an account using their Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
- Step 3: Click on the Tamil Nadu Class 12 result link available on the homepage.
- Step 4: Enter the registration number and date of birth in the required fields.
- Step 5: Submit the details to view the digital scorecard.
- Step 6: Download and save the marksheet for future reference.
How Students Can Receive TN HSC 2026 Marks through SMS
The Tamil Nadu School Education Department will also send result details through SMS to the mobile numbers submitted by students in their undertaking forms at schools. Students do not need to apply separately for the SMS service. Once the results are announced, the department will automatically send score details to registered mobile numbers. This arrangement has been made to help students receive their marks even if official portals experience slow response due to high traffic.

WhatsApp Facility for Class 12 Students
Apart from DigiLocker and SMS services, students can also check their TN HSC Result 2026 through WhatsApp. To access the facility, candidates must send a 'Hi' message to 7845252525. After starting the chat, students will be asked to provide details such as class, registration number, and date of birth. The WhatsApp facility has been introduced with support from the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency. Students can additionally collect their result details from schools after the declaration of the Class 12 examination scores.
