The release follows the successful completion of the December 2025 examination cycle, which was conducted across the country from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026. A total of 7,35,592 candidates appeared for the computer-based test, and more than 1.76 lakh candidates qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor eligibility, and PhD admissions.

- Visit the official website: https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/
- In the Latest News section, click on the link for e-certificate.
- On clicking, you will be redirected to the login page.
- Login using your application number and date of birth.
- Submit to access your dashboard.
- Download the e-certificate in PDF format.
Alternatively, candidates can use the direct download link provided on the official website to access their e-certificate.
UGC NET certificate validity
The UGC NET e-certificate serves as proof of eligibility for Assistant Professor positions and carries lifetime validity. For candidates awarded the Junior Research Fellowship, the JRF award letter issued alongside the certificate is valid for three years from the date of issue. These documents are essential during faculty recruitment, PhD admissions, and fellowship verification processes.
UGC NET certificate categories to check
The UGC NET certificate is not issued under a single category. Depending on performance and cut-offs, candidates may be awarded different eligibility statuses. These include:
- Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) only
