Prayagraj: Around 45.12 percent of aspirants appeared for the written examination for lecturer grade conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) on the second day on Sunday. The commission claimed the exam was conducted in a transparent manner, free of unfair means, across the state.
Officials stated that as many as 1,03,168 candidates, including 41.92 percent women and 48.08 percent men, appeared on the second day of the exam. In comparison, 89,766 candidates (38.04 percent) were present on the first day on May 9. A total of 1,92,934 candidates (41.53 percent) appeared in the exam over both days.
The examination was conducted in 18 subjects across 17 divisional headquarters in Uttar Pradesh. To ensure complete transparency, the commission implemented an AI-based monitoring system. An AI-integrated control command room was established at the commission headquarters, from which all centers were monitored continuously in real time. AI-enabled surveillance cameras installed at centers were used to keep strict watch on candidates' activities throughout the examination process.
This rigorous monitoring system helped maintain the integrity of the examination, ensuring that the selection process remains fair and unbiased. The commission's efforts to leverage technology for transparency were widely appreciated, setting a benchmark for future recruitment exams in the state.
