The facility was officially launched on the university campus, with Navisha Prabhakar, Regional Head (Education) at Google Cloud, presiding over the ceremony.

The AI Lab has been developed using Gemini Enterprise for Education, a cutting-edge platform that enables students and faculty to explore AI applications across diverse sectors, including healthcare, fintech, and automation. B Mallesu, CEO of Henotic Group, highlighted that Vignan's University is the first institution in Andhra Pradesh to host a Google AI Lab. He also announced plans to establish Centres of Excellence in multiple domains, further strengthening the university's technological capabilities.
Dr. Lavu Rathaiah, Chairman of Vignan's University, stated that the facility will focus on practical problem-solving, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry requirements.
