The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Ropar, has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the non-profit organization Rocket Learning to implement artificial intelligence and technology-enabled training programs for frontline caregivers and early childhood educators.
Agreement Signed
The agreement was formalized by IIT-Ropar Director Rajeev Ahuja and Rocket Learning Co-Founders Azeez Gupta and Namya Mahajan, in the presence of institute Dean Sarang Gumfekar. This collaboration aims to jointly develop and deploy technology-driven upskilling systems for anganwadi workers, parents, and other grassroots caregivers.
Combining Strengths
The partnership leverages IIT-Ropar's research and institutional capabilities alongside Rocket Learning's extensive field presence across 16 states and Union Territories. Together, they will create training modules that utilize artificial intelligence to enhance the skills of those working in early childhood education and care.
This initiative is expected to significantly improve the quality of early childhood education by empowering frontline workers with modern tools and techniques. The MoU marks a significant step towards integrating advanced technology into grassroots education and care programs.
