Ahmedabad: NIFT Gandhinagar hosted the graduation project showcase for various disciplines on Monday. This year's overarching theme is the spirit of scent, aspiration, and transformative growth, according to officials.
Key Highlights
Prof Sameer Sood, director of NIFT Gandhinagar, congratulated 259 graduating students and emphasized that India's textile industry is a cornerstone for Aatmanirbhar Bharat, with a focus on farm to fibre to fashion to foreign.
Student Projects
Students worked on a diverse range of topics including socio-technical systems, education, craft, market research, product development, innovative textiles, and production cycles. The showcase demonstrated the integration of traditional skills with modern innovation.
The event underscored the importance of the textile sector in driving self-reliance and global competitiveness. Prof Sood highlighted the journey from raw materials to finished products as a key strength of the Indian economy.
