Teen Ends Life After Mother Delays Buying Bike

A tragic incident unfolded in Chandragiri, on the outskirts of Tirupati, where a 19-year-old intermediate student allegedly ended his life by jumping into an abandoned well. The teenager, identified as Akash, tied a boulder to his waist before taking the extreme step. According to the Chandragiri police, the incident occurred on Saturday, following a dispute with his mother over the purchase of a bike.

Background of the Incident

Akash was the only son of Muni Kumari, a widow who works in Kuwait. He lived in Diguva Veedhi in Chandragiri and was studying at a local college. On Friday night, Akash sent a text message along with photos of himself near the well to a friend, informing him of his intention to end his life. The friend immediately alerted Muni Kumari, who then contacted the Chandragiri police.

Police Response and Recovery

Police rushed to the well from where Akash had sent his photos, but due to pitch darkness, they could not locate him. On Saturday morning, police along with local fire services personnel checked the well and retrieved the teenager's body. A case was registered, and the body was shifted to SVRR Government General Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
