'The Handmaid's Tale' was one of the most popular series in recent years. As the final chapter concluded, its spin-off, 'The Testaments,' took the world by storm. With the season 1 finale approaching, fans are eager to know which characters will return for season 2.
Cast of 'The Testaments' Season 2
Series creator Bruce Miller, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, discussed the future of the series and the returning cast. Elisabeth Moss, who led 'The Handmaid's Tale,' is set to reprise her role. Chase Infiniti, Lucy Halliday, Ann Dowd, Mabel Li, Brad Alexander, Mattea Conforti, and Rowan Blanchard will also return. Other first-season cast members likely to return, though not yet confirmed, include Isolde Ardies, Amy Seimetz, Nate Corddry, Charlie Carrick, and Kira Guloien.
However, some familiar faces will not be returning for season 2. Randal Edwards, who played Dr. Grove, will not be back as his character was killed off in the ninth episode of season 1. Kate Hewlett, who portrayed Mrs. Grove, also will not return. In the season finale, Mrs. Grove takes the blame for a murder Becka was accused of, leading to her own death in episode 10.
Bruce Miller Talks About 'The Testaments'
During the interview, Miller opened up about what fans can expect from season 2. He stated, 'We're very excited and deep into figuring out what to do for season two. The writers' room has been working for a while. Our younger actresses are younger. And no matter how much money you put into it, they're not going to stay younger. Time does go on, and we very much want to stay on track to make this show as regularly as possible. I think our cast is astonishing, and I want to make sure we use them while they fit the part.'
