Leaked PDF Raises Questions About Exam Security
Social media posts on July 8, 2026, revealed that a PDF containing nearly identical questions and options for the UGC-NET Sociology paper had been circulated. The document was reportedly created at 4:08 AM on June 30, hours before the 3 PM shift, according to user Gaurav Mishra. This follows the NEET paper leak just weeks earlier, intensifying scrutiny on the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Political Leaders React to Allegations
Rahul Gandhi tweeted that a 100-page PDF of the question paper setting, which should have been exclusively with NTA, was circulated before the exam. He called the situation alarming. Another user, Himanshu, described the repeated failures as a masterclass in incompetence, holding NTA responsible for determining students' futures.
Demand for Thorough Investigation
The leaked PDF has prompted demands for a comprehensive probe into NTA's handling of the exam. Critics argue that such breaches undermine the credibility of the examination system and disadvantage honest candidates. The government has yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
