Cockroach Janta Party Founder Challenges X Account Blocking

Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janata Party, has moved the Delhi High Court challenging the blocking of the party's official X (formerly Twitter) account. Dipke alleged that the account was withheld by the government on grounds of national security. He further accused the Centre of acting in a 'dictatorial' manner, claiming that the movement's viral website was also taken down.

Background of the Movement

Dipke stated that nearly 10 lakh people had joined the satirical digital movement, which gained significant popularity among Millennials and Gen Z users through memes and sarcasm. The movement, known for its humorous take on political issues, had built a substantial online following.

Allegations and Petition

Dipke also alleged that six lakh members had signed a petition seeking the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged NEET-UG paper leak controversy. He claimed that multiple social media accounts linked to the movement had either been blocked or hacked, further hindering their ability to communicate with supporters.
