63SATS Cybertech Unveils CYBX Super App with Integrated Cyber Insurance for Indian Smartphone Users
In a significant move to address the escalating threat of AI-powered cyberattacks that traditional security models struggle to contain, 63SATS Cybertech, a subsidiary of 63 moons technologies, has launched an innovative software platform. This platform combines cybersecurity services with comprehensive insurance coverage, creating a robust digital defense system for smartphone users across India.
Merging Software Security with Financial Protection
The company has developed CYBX, an active digital defense super app that integrates software security and cyber insurance into a single solution for everyday mobile users. This approach aims to provide both cybersecurity and a financial safety net, making advanced protection accessible to a broader audience.
Elaborating on this initiative, Srinivas L, Joint MD and Joint CEO of 63SATS Cybertech, highlighted that Indian smartphone users can now benefit from exchange-grade security coupled with insurance coverage of up to Rs 10 lakh. He emphasized that CYBX is designed to democratize cybersecurity for every household in the country.
Comprehensive Threat Protection and Privacy Features
The super app offers protection against more than 100 threats, including digital safety, financial frauds, privacy protection, identity monitoring, and network security. Srinivas described CYBX as a digital companion and silent sniper that operates discreetly on smartphones to identify risks such as phishing links, malicious apps, and unsafe public Wi-Fi networks.
Additionally, the app safeguards call privacy by alerting users to unauthorized call recording or being placed on speakerphone, ensuring conversations remain private. This 360-degree security approach is crucial as India's digital economy expands alongside growing vulnerabilities.
Partnership with ICICI Lombard and Insurance Details
To enhance its offering, 63SATS Cybertech has partnered with general insurer ICICI Lombard to provide the embedded cyber insurance. This policy, touted as an India-first mobile cybersecurity insurance, covers losses from various incidents, including:
- Online shopping and identity theft
- Privacy and data breach liability
- Media and social media liability
- Theft of funds
- Losses resulting from cyberbullying and cyberstalking
- Loss of reputation due to these incidents
The insurance coverage ranges from Rs 10,000 to Rs 10 lakh, offering flexibility based on user needs. However, it excludes claims from events known before the policy start date, losses involving cryptocurrencies, and gambling-related activities.
Aiming for Widespread Adoption and Daily Safety Habits
Srinivas stated that the company's goal is to make digital safety a daily habit through CYBX, supported by the cyber insurance component. He described the platform as a twin benefit for personal smartphone users, ensuring that protection is affordable and comprehensive for all Indians.
