Authorities describe the advertisements as highly inappropriate. They show men and women performing indecent acts while wearing traditional local attire. The background in these images closely resembles the iconic desert landscape of Jaisalmer. Cyber experts examining the content have made a startling claim. They assert the images are not real photographs but are AI-generated deepfakes.
Public Outrage and Cultural Concerns
Civil society members in Jaisalmer have reacted with strong indignation. They believe this entire episode is a deliberate attempt to damage the city's rich culture and its global reputation as a heritage site. Residents from all age groups have voiced their fury. That incident occurred at several resorts in the Sam and Khuhdi areas. At that time, the Kalbeliya community raised serious allegations. They stated that men were made to wear their traditional dress and engage in obscene acts. The practice was only stopped after the local community expressed its grave displeasure and outrage.
