Nikita Bier, head of product at X, recently shared a post recalling a key lesson he says he learned from Elon Musk. In the post, Bier wrote: “One of the most important things that Elon taught me: People engaging in fraud are always the first and loudest to complain.”
Bier, known for building consumer apps and his social media presence, often shares short observations about product building and user behavior. This latest post adds to a series of comments where he reflects on lessons from industry leaders. While Bier did not elaborate on when or how the lesson was shared, the statement highlights a general view about how individuals involved in wrongdoing may react.
Elon Musk, who leads companies including Tesla and SpaceX, has frequently spoken about issues related to fraud, bots, and misuse of platforms, particularly in the context of social media. The post comes at a time when discussions around online authenticity, misinformation, and platform integrity continue across the tech industry. Neither Bier nor Musk has provided additional details about the remark.
Nikita Bier Asks Perplexity CEO to Stop Deceiving Users
Bier recently shared an online post requesting Indian-origin CEO of Perplexity AI, Aravind Srinivas, to stop running “undisclosed promotion campaigns.” His ask comes in reply to a post by Perplexity’s announcement on Personal Computer. “Today we're releasing Personal Computer,” the AI company said, adding “Personal Computer integrates with the Perplexity Mac App for secure orchestration across your local files, native apps, and browser. We’re rolling this out to all Perplexity Max subscribers and everyone on the waitlist starting today.”
Responding to the post, Nikita Bier wrote: “Can you please stop the undisclosed promotion campaigns? It deceives users and it does not reflect well on your company or your integrity.” Bier also tagged Perplexity AI CEO Aravind Srinivas in the post.
