Pune-based cybersecurity leader Quick Heal Technologies has launched a significantly upgraded version of its flagship antivirus solution, marking a major advancement in digital protection for Indian users. The announcement came on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, coinciding with the company's 30th anniversary celebrations.
Revolutionary AI Features and Enhanced Protection
Quick Heal Total Security version 26 introduces several groundbreaking features designed to combat evolving cyber threats. The centerpiece of this update is SIA (Security Intelligent Assistant), an AI-powered security assistant that provides users with clear, jargon-free explanations about security alerts and their solutions.
Dr. Sanjay Katkar, Joint Managing Director at Quick Heal Technologies, emphasized the changing threat landscape during the launch event in Delhi. "When we started in 1996-98, we were seeing a few thousand viruses per week. Now, we are seeing more than half a million viruses per day," he revealed, highlighting the necessity for automated security solutions.
Comprehensive Security Suite for Modern Threats
The new antivirus solution incorporates multiple advanced security technologies:
- GoDeep.AI: Predictive threat hunting technology that learns from millions of historical threats to protect against zero-day attacks
- Antifraud.AI: Real-time protection against fraudulent apps, websites, fake UPI requests, and banking fraud calls
- Dark Web Monitoring 2.0: Comprehensive surveillance that auto-detects users' registered email addresses or sensitive information on the dark web
- metaProtect integration: Unified dashboard for monitoring multiple devices and receiving real-time breach alerts
- Performance Booster: Enhanced file recovery and storage management features
Addressing Sophisticated Cyber Threats
Dr. Katkar addressed concerns about protection against sophisticated spyware, noting that while version 26 offers protection against publicly available spyware from day one, paid spyware like Pegasus presents greater challenges. "Unless one of our users gets affected by the spyware, then we immediately come to know that there is malicious activity and we release a patch or ask the user to download the OS patch," he explained.
The cybersecurity expert also highlighted the shift toward broader online scams since the pandemic, noting that increased digital dependency has created new vulnerabilities as personal data is shared across various platforms and agencies.
Quick Heal Total Security version 26 is available for Windows 11, Windows 10, and Windows 8 users with support for both 32-bit and 64-bit systems. The launch represents a significant milestone for the company, which was one of the first Indian cybersecurity firms to go public in 2016.
